An LGBT Centre for the North East.

 

‘An anchor for the LGBT community and friends:

a place to meet; to socialise, and get support’

 

Newcastle is a popular destination for Lesbian , Gay , Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) people with a range of services and leisure facilities available. However , unlike many cities , it does not have an LGBT community centre or community space with the specific purpose of meeting the needs of the LGBT community.

 

A group of volunteers has come together to look into whether an LGBT Centre could be opened in Newcastle.
